- Hostastat® HS 1 FF is an antistatic agent mainly used in engineering plastics and PVC
- It exhibits an outstanding efficiency and provides long term antistatic effect
Applications & Uses
- Compatible Polymers & Resins
- Compatible Substrates & Surfaces
- Product Applications
- Hostastat® HS 1 FF is incorporated into plastics to reduce the negative effects of electrostatic charge accumulation such as dust attraction, static discharge and splashing of printing inks. During the processing of thermoplastics, Hostastat® HS 1 FF acts as a flow promoting lubricant and release agent.
- Hostastat® HS 1 FF is preferably used as an internal antistatic agent for polar plastics, such as PVC and styrenics.
- Where incorporation into the polymer is not possible, it can be applied externally to the surface of the finished article by spraying or dipping.
- Therefore it is normally used in the form of a 1 % aqueous solution in conjunction with 0,1 % of a suitable surface-acting alcohol, such as Mowiol© 10 – 74.
