CYMEL® 1172 resin is an unalkylated glycoluril crosslinker supplied in water at 45% solids. It is designed to be used for crosslinking aqueous neutral or acidic hydroxyl or amide functional polymers and combines excellent stability at acidic pH (as low as 4) with excellent reactivity. CYMEL® 1172 resin cannot be used in amine neutralized or basic coating systems because of the potential problems of demethylolation of the compound and a significant decrease in cure response.

This technology equals and in many ways outperforms other premium, high temperature greases such as Lithium Complex, Aluminum Complex and Polyurea.

It is a pale, thermoplastic, acidic resin, Hydrogenation makes this resin highly resistant to oxidation and discoloration and to changes in solubility characteristics, when it is exposed to air and heat. D.E.H.® 20 Epoxy Curing Agent is used for civil engineering applications, maintenance paints, and in the manufacture of epoxy-amine adducts. It is also used in adhesives, epoxy composite applications and as an accelerator for polyamide curing agents.
