CYMEL® 1123 Resin is a highly methylated/ethylated benzoguanamine resin developed primarily for use as a crosslinking agent in electrocoating and conventional coatings requiring high detergent and chemical resistance. Its excellent balance between adhesion and film flexibility, especially after several cure cycles, makes CYMEL® 1123 Resin particularly well suited for can coating applications. While CYMEL® 1123 Resin is insoluble in water, it shows excellent compatibility with water soluble backbone polymers and provides very good stability in pH-buffered alkaline waterborne formulations. The poor light resistance properties of benzoguanamine makes CYMEL® 1123 Resin unsuitable for exterior applications.

CYMEL® U-80 Resin is a highly n-butylated urea resin supplied at >96% solids content. Its high extent of alkylation and hydrophobic nature make the CYMEL® U-80 Resin suitable for a wide range of coating applications, including high solids primers for automotive, general industrial, and container coatings, providing improved film flexibility and adhesion to various substrates. CYMEL® 202 Resin is a methylated/n-butylated, high imino melamine crosslinker supplied in n-butanol. Its hydrophobic nature combined with high reactivity, high solids content, and rather low formaldehyde release during the curing process makes CYMEL® 202 Resin suitable for a wide range of medium to high solids or waterborne baking applications, like can and container coating formulations, automotive coatings, and low cure systems to improve film appearance and resistance properties. CYMEL® 202 resin has a high tendency to self-condense at rather low baking temperatures, providing films with very good hardness, gloss, chemical resistance, and outdoor durability.

CYMEL® 1170 resin is a highly butylated glycoluril crosslinker designed for use in both water and organo-soluble coating systems. Its superior adhesion relative to existing melamine and benzoguanamine crosslinkers provides increased corrosion resistance and flexibility. The better adhesion is not lost after postforming of parts and exposure of the stressed coating to humidity, steam, dry heat, or weather.
