Product Applications
  • ALNOVOL® PN 760/PAST is a non-self-crosslinking modified phenol novolac. The resin is used in rubber compounds as an adhesion promoter for steel and textile cord.
  • ALNOVOL® PN 760/PAST is incorporated into the mix in the first stage of compounding.
  • Due to the low content of free phenol, processing does not generate any vapors, and it is not accompanied by odorous annoyance. ALNOVOL® PN 760/PAST is free of resorcinol.

Characteristics:

  • Non self-crosslinking modified phenol novolac.

Uses:

  • Cord adhesion promoter for rubber.

Dosage Information
  • ALNOVOL® PN 760/PAST should be added depending on the application field and the used reinforcing material on a level of 2 to 10 phr.
  • For curing highly etherified melamine resins (HMMM), such as Cyrez CRA-200, are recommended.
  • They are added in the second mixing stage together with sulphur and accelerators. For curing, a resin to hardener ratio of approx. 1:2 is recommended.
