- Product Applications
It is used in combination with liquid epoxy resins and with other suitable epoxy for solvent free epoxy systems. It is mainly used for fast setting epoxy adhesives and patching compounds. It can also be used to accelerate other amine based curing agent.
Properties
- Physical Form
- Product Properties
Epoxy coating systems cured with AP 5972 present the following features.
- Suitable for ambient and low temperature cure, down to 5°c
- Moisture insensitive and good flexibility when compare with other modified aliphatic amine hardener
- Easy mixing ratio with liquid epoxy resin (2:1 w/w)
Regulatory & Compliance
- Contains any chemicals listed on Prop 65 (including impurities, residues, catalysts, monomers, and by-products and excluding heavy metals)?

Storage & Handling
- Storage Conditions
AP 5972 should be stored in a dry place, preferably in the sealed original container at temperatures 15 to 30°C. The Product should not be stored exposed to direct sunlight.
- Shelf life:12 Months (15 to 30°C)
- Hazardous decomposition products: (When in fire) Carbon monoxide, Carbondioxide, Nitrogen Oxides and other toxic Gases & Vapors.
- Handling Information
The hardener will absorb moisture and carbon dioxide when left in open containers. This may result in increased viscosity and sometimes crystallization. Use personal protective equipments and follow industrial hygienic procedures. Recommended to use safety glasses, protective clothing, gloves, & masks suitable for chemical, solvents & their vapor.
