    Product Applications
    • Biochek® 8064 DOTP is intended to be used as a preservative for flexible PVC, but is also suitable for polymers, e.g. polyurethanes. It protects the polymer compound or articles made hereof from fungal infestation leading to discoloration and detrimental change in mechanical properties. In addition, Biochek® 8064 DOTP protects the polymer compound against undesirable discoloration due to the infestation with certain bacteria.
    • Prior to use of the product it is strongly recommended to homogenize the contents of the container, e.g. by stirring.
    • When incorporation Biochek® 8064 DOTP into a dry blend process, it is recommended that the Biochek® 8064 DOTP be added with the plasticizer. Biochek® 8064 DOTP can also be prepared as a premix with main plasticizer. Either way, the mixtures are added to the plastisol process.
    • Dosage level of the Biochek® 8064 DOTP will depend on the exposure of the plasticized PVC or polymer to moisture, organic matter, UV irradiation and microbial load. Effective dosage levels are between 0.20 % - 3.0 % (w/w) with respect to the final compound.
