Bluesil™ SP 3309 A2

Bluesil™ SP 3309 A2 is a highly effective superspreading trisiloxane adjuvant for addition to spray formulations of agrochemicals. Bluesil™ SP 3309 A2 can significantly reduce the surface tension of spray formulations to max. 22 mN/m (the lower limit for conventional non-silicone adjuvants is ~30mN/m). This reduction is dynamically rapid, maximizing the adhesion of spray droplets when they impact on leaf surfaces. Bluesil™ SP 3309 A2 has been extensively optimized to improve efficiency even when applied to the most waxy, hard-to wet leaf surfaces. The spray droplets completely wet the target crop or weed, wrapping onto unsprayed surfaces to deliver insecticides and fungicides to where the pests and diseases may be concealed. The superspreading capability of Bluesil™ SP3309 A2 provides exemplary spray coverage enabling the volume of spray to be reduced without loss of performance. This reduction: Limits water usage Increases coverage area per tankful allowing for faster application speed (reduced refill) Enables lighter loads (less water) for micro-farmers using back-pack sprayers. Bluesil™ SP 3309 A2 is nonionic, making it compatible with all spray mixes.

Application and Usage Information
  • Product Application:
    • Tank-mix adjuvant used with agrochemicals as super spreading agent.
    • In-can formulation when the formulation is buffered to a neutral pH
  • Usage Information:
    • Bluesil™ SP 3309 A2 is readily dispersed into water and should be added to the spray tank when almost full, without excessive agitation, to minimise foaming.
    • Bluesil™ SP 3309 A2 is susceptible to hydrolysis under acidic or basic conditions. Ideally spray formulations should be buffered to as close to neutral (pH 7.0) as possible. Sprays should be applied directly after mixing, not left to stand e.g., overnight.
    • High spray volumes are unnecessary to achieve good spray coverage when using Bluesil™ SP 3309 A2 and should be avoided to prevent runoff resulting from the combination of volume and spreading.
    • Bluesil™ SP 3309 A2 is typically used at concentrations in the spray tank of 0.025%-0.1%. A concentration of 0.2% or higher will be required to provide rainfastening via stomatal infiltration.
