- GENIOPLAST® FLUID 220 is a reactive, organomodified, silicone based polymer additive with a viscosity of approx. 2000 mPa.s. GENIOPLAST® FLUID 220 is specifically designed to be used in halogen-free, flame retardant (HFFR) polyolefinic and elastomeric compounds.
- GENIOPLAST® FLUID 220 allows the formulation of compounds highly filled with hydrated minerals, such as aluminum trihydrate or magnesium dihydroxide. Due to its specific structure it improves the dispersion of fillers and flame retardants in polyolefin compounds. So it acts as a co-synergist together with inorganic fillers to finally improve the LOI of HFFR compounds.
- GENIOPLAST® FLUID 220 also improves the permanent scratch resistance of filled polyolefin cpmpounds due to its interaction with the inorganic fillers.

- Processing Information
GENIOPLAST® FLUID 220 can be applied as liquid additive in conventional compounding equipment for the manufacture of HFFR compounds. GENIOPLAST® FLUID 220 will provide several benefits to the final polymer formulation and its processing:
- Improved flame retardance
- Reduced flammability
- Higher LOI value
- Improved scratch resistance
- Improved processing / internal lubrication
- Higher output by improved polymer melt flow
- Less pressure built up by viscosity reduction
- Reduced deposits in the compounding equipment or on the die of the extruder
- Reduced abrasion during polymer processing
