- Key Properties
- In a typical PE compound formulation GENIOPLAST® PE50S08 is used at a loading between 1 and 3 %. Main benefits for polyethylene applications (film, white goods, automotive and recycled compounds) comprise improvement of processing, scratch and mar performance, reduction of coefficient of friction, improvement of surface aspects (soft touch, not sticky, not blooming). GENIOPLAST® PE50S08 is odorless and not contributing to fogging.
- In contrary to amides and other fatty acids used in the past, GENIOPLAST® PE50S08 does not migrate and bloom outside the interior part and therefore not contribute to fogging and to stickiness. At the recommended use levels (1 - 3 %), GENIOPLAST® PE50S08 does not negatively impact the thermo-mechanical properties of the compounds it is added to.

- Polyethylene based compounds for film, white goods, recycled and automotive applications.
- GENIOPLAST® PE50S08 is a compounding additive. Compounding is required to achieve the proper rheology for the migration of the silicone constituent to the surface during the melt phase. After processing and when the part has cooled, the ultra-high molecular weight silicone constituent is fixed inside the PE compound and also at the surface, assuring stable performance over time. GENIOPLAST® PE50S08 is compatible with all PE grades (homopolymer or copolymer), pigments, as well as mineral fillers such as talc or calcium carbonate.
