HIRENOL® KGA-M200
HIRENOL® KGA-M200 is a terpene phenolic resin supplied in coarse crushed form. It is widely used in the preparation of contact adhesive based on chloroprene rubber. This resin is is non-heat reactive and compatible with natural and synthetic rubbers such as are common in the adhesive industry. HIRENOL® KGA-M200 is used in contact and pressure-sensitive adhesives to extend the period of tackiness. For adhesives based on Neoprene rubber, an addition of HIRENOL® KGA-M200 makes the adhesives ensure an adequate open time. Quite small quantities of HIRENOL® KGA-M200 are sufficient to increase the period of tackiness substantially. An important area of use for HIRENOL® KGA-M200 is in coating compounds and adhesive tapes. The basic component is usually natural rubber but permanently tacky synthetic elastomers can also be used. The permanent tackiness and oxidation resistance of these materials is greatly enhanced by HIRENOL® KGA-M200.
