These composites can be incorporated into deep sea syntactic foam buoyancy modules to improve uplift properties of the system at minimal foam volumes. The high strength of K20HS glass bubbles can withstand both the high processing shear forces of polymer mixing and the pressure of seawater in many applications. 3Mâ„¢ Glass Bubbles K20HS have isostatic crush strengths of 750 psi with a minimum of 90% survival.
