Cotin® 280 is a liquid organotin carboxylate catalyst recommended for use in room temperature vulcanised (RTV) silicone systems and polyurethane foams and elastomers. Cotin® 280 should be considered a “moderate to rapid” catalyst, for relatively faster cure. It does not utilize acetic acid in its manufacture, and therefore, does not have the odor or corrosiveness normally associated with organotin acetates. Cotin 280 should be used at an equal active weight basis as dibutyltin diacetate.
