CARPOL® TEAP-265 is a triethanolamine-initiated polyether polyol. The resultant material has a nominal functionality of three and a typical hydroxyl number of 635. This polyol’s functionality and short-chained nature make it optimal for use in rigid foam. Primarily used as a rigid polyol modifier, CARPOL® TEAP-265 can be used to cut the high viscosity seen with most sucrose based rigid polyols while acting as a good crosslinker. CARPOL® NIONIC™ 850 Polyglycol is a nonionic surfactant with a chemical structure designed to make it act as a defoamer in many applications. Even at very low concentrations, CARPOL® Nionic™ 850 can be used to reduce the superficial tension of liquids, including high viscosity liquids. Defoaming performance is a function of cloud point and end use temperature. These materials are water soluble at low temperatures and will flocculate when warmed above their cloud point.
