Product Applications

It is used in combination with liquid epoxy resins and with other suitable epoxy for solvent free epoxy systems. It is mainly used where rapid thin film cure or low temperature curing required. It is used for fast setting epoxy adhesives, patching compounds, crack injection and high solid coatings. It can also be used to accelerate other amine based curing agent.

Properties

Product Properties

Epoxy coating systems cured with AP 4406 present the following features.

  • Suitable for ambient and low temperature cure, down to 5°C
  • Very rapid cure.
  • Very low viscosity and high gloss blush free film appearance

Safety & Health

Handling Precautions

The hardener will absorb moisture and carbon dioxide when left in open containers. This may result in increased viscosity and sometimes crystallization. Use personal protective equipments and follow industrial hygienic procedures. Recommended to use safety glasses, protective clothing, gloves, & masks suitable for chemical, solvents & their vapor.
