PURMOLâ„¢ 4ST is a sodium (Na) type A zeolite with a pore size of approximately 4 Angstroms (0.4 nm). PURMOLâ„¢ 4ST is recommended for use with high quality coatings. In general, we recommend the addition of 2.5% - 5% Purmol powder to the polyol component. This must be stirred thoroughly for a minimum of two hours to allow the Purmol to adsorb all the water before addition of the isocyanate. With metal dust coatings we recommend the addition of 0.5% - 2% PURMOLâ„¢ 4ST powder.

ACRYSOLâ„¢ TT-935 Rheology Modifier is an alkali-soluble, anionic associative thickener, designed to give medium-shear-rate viscosity in interior/exterior flat latex paints. ACRYSOLâ„¢ TT-935 Rheology Modifier can be used as either a primary or co-thickener in water-based coatings. It offers excellent resistance to roller spattering with better film build and leveling than conventional thickeners. Paints formulated with ACRYSOLâ„¢ TT-935 Rheology Modifier as a sole thickener exhibit improved flow and leveling compared with medium- to high-molecular-weight cellulosic thickeners. The rheology can be modified to further improve flow and leveling by addition of low levels of surfactant or glycol-ether-type co-solvents to reduce the low-shear viscosity. Addition of some pre-dispersed colorant may also have this effect. ACRYSOLâ„¢ TT-935 Rheology Modifier is recommended for interior paints requiring improved flow and leveling and lower raw material cost compared to cellulosic thickeners. Where superior water resistance is required, we recommend ACRYSOLâ„¢ SCT-275 Rheology Modifier. ACRYSOLâ„¢ TT-935 can be used in exterior paints, but formulators should exercise caution to minimize potential blistering due to the anionic nature of this product. Delivered as a low-viscosity liquid, it is very easy to handle and incorporate into paint. It is resistant to microbiological degradation, thereby avoiding viscosity loss in paint, a common problem for manufacturers.
