ACRYSOL™ RM-12W is a solvent-free, nonionic rheology modifier designed to offer high low-shear viscosity with an extremely shear thinning rheology and excellent thickening efficiency. Unlike conventional thickeners, ACRYSOL™ RM-12W offers excellent sag resistance with minimal effect on flow and leveling. While not capable of providing true thixotropy, it can offer advantages typical of thixotropes. These properties include improved brush/roller loading, good anti-drip properties, good in-can structure, and excellent flow/sag balance.

It can be used in combination with a high-shear builder such as ACRYSOL RM-3000 Rheology Modifier to reach a desired balance of high and low shear viscosity in flat through gloss formulations.

AEROSIL® R 974 W Coating is a hydrophobic fumed silica after-treated with DDS (Dimethyldichlorosilane) based on a hydrophilic fumed silica with a specific surface area of 200 m²/g. The product thickening efficiency of AEROSIL® R 974 W Coating ex RHE is consistent with the Waterford-produced AEROSIL® R 974. This profile is different than the thickening profile of standard RHE quality.

Rostabil TTDP-V is a thermal stabilizer from the phosphate ester chemical family, specifically phosphorous acid, triisotridecyl ester. It is used in plastics and elastomers.

CRAYVALLAC® LV is a high performance, micronised amide wax rheology modifier suitable for very high-solids and solvent-free applications.CRAYVALLAC® LV overcomes those difficulties which exist with hydrogenated castor oil based rheology modifiers e.g. seeding and false-body. Consequently, coatings formulated using CRAYVALLAC® LV exhibit an enhanced performance such as controlled flow behavior, ease of application and excellent sag resistance. Its very high efficiency even when activated allows to reach very strong shear thinning that can result either in very high sag resistance or interresting balance between viscosity and sag resistance. Therefore CRAYVALLAC® LV is for instance highly recommended in the case of solvent free coatings with relatively low viscosity. It prevents the use of specific equipment for the application that are necessary with more viscous solvent-free coatings.
