EBECRYL® 3730-TP20
Principal:
allnex Radcure
Chemical Family:
Epoxy Acrylates
End Uses:
Radiation Curable Coating, Sealer
EBECRYL® 3730-TP20 is the modified diacrylate ester of a bisphenol A based epoxy resin diluted 20% by weight with the reactive diluent tripropylene glycol diacrylate (TPGDA). It is designed primarily for use in ultraviolet light (UV) or electron beam (EB) curable formulations. EBECRYL® 3730-TP20 is light in color with high UV/EB reactivity, and exhibits good wetting of pigments, matting agents and substrates compared to unmodified epoxy acrylates. Cured films based on EBECRYL® 3730-TP20 will typically demonstrate high gloss and hardness, and good chemical resistance.

CRAYVALLAC® PA3 WDA 20
Principal:
Arkema Rheology and Specialty Additives Group
Functions:
Rheology Modifier
Chemical Family:
Amide Waxes, Polyamides
Labeling Claims:
Heavy Metal-free, No Added Alkylphenol Ethoxylates (APEO)
Physical Form:
Paste
CRAYVALLAC® PA3 WDA 20 is a pre-activated amide wax supplied in a mixture of mineral spirit (D60) and alcohols. Under paste form for post-addition to solvent-based low polarity coating systems, it provides a shear-thinning rheology with thixotropic viscosity recovery to coating formulations. In coating systems, its crystalline fibres form an interacting network which gives rise to the shear-thinning rheology of the final coating. It provides a very high viscosity under the low shear rates associated with sedimentation, and a low viscosity at the much higher application shear rates. The net result is excellent control of sedimentation combined with ease of application. Immediately following application, the coating’s viscosity undergoes a time dependent recovery as the network re-establishes itself. This time dependence is known as thixotropy and enables the final coating to attain very good levelling.

EBECRYL® LED 04
Principal:
allnex Radcure
Chemical Family:
Polyesters
End Uses:
Flexography Ink, Gravure Ink, Inkjet Ink, Offset Ink, Screen Printing Ink
Features:
Excellent Ink Water Balance, Good Cure Response, High Gloss, Improved Surface Cure, Low Odor
EBECRYL® LED 04 is an acrylated polyamine that can be added as a co- resin to UV curable formulations. EBECRYL® LED 04 – when combined with an appropriate photo initiator system – transforms formulations into UV LED, UVA, or low energy curable systems by providing improved surface cure. In addition, this effect is also seen in high energy cure formulations. The improved surface cure is obtained by mitigating oxygen inhibition of the free radical process and/or by being an amine synergist for Norrish type II photo initiators. Coating and inks based on EBECRYL® LED 04 exhibit a low odor after UV or EB curing. Due to its hydrophobic nature EBECRYL® LED 04 can also be used in offset inks applications as a replacement of aminobenzoate synergists.
