It is designed to have a low volatile organic content. Due to its polymeric nature, it is characterized by a high reactivity. This is demonstrated by its extraordinary low curing temperature of 20 to 80 °C which represents a major breakthrough for waterborne solgel systems. Dynasylan® SIVO 160 is a clear to slightly opaque, colorless to slightly yellow, low viscosity liquid.
