ACRYSOL™ TT-615 is an alkali swellable acrylic polymer emulsion used as either a primary or ancillary thickener in coatings. This product exhibits viscosity build comparable to high molecular weight HEC thickeners at low shear levels. Viscosity is developed by neutralization to a pH of 7 to 10. ACRYSOL™ TT-615 demonstrates greater roller spatter resistance than the cellulostics, but with a more pseudoplastic rheology profile. The liquid physical form of ACRYSOL™ TT-615 facilitates its incorporation into grinds and letdowns.

ACRYSOL™ RM-12W is a solvent-free, nonionic rheology modifier designed to offer high low-shear viscosity with an extremely shear thinning rheology and excellent thickening efficiency. Unlike conventional thickeners, ACRYSOL™ RM-12W offers excellent sag resistance with minimal effect on flow and leveling. While not capable of providing true thixotropy, it can offer advantages typical of thixotropes. ACRYSOL™ RM-725 Rheology Modifier is designed as a universal, efficient mid shear viscosity builder with all binder types that are used for interior wall paints as well as exterior systems for wood, trim stains and masonry. ACRYSOL™ TT-935 Rheology Modifier is an alkali-soluble, anionic associative thickener, designed to give medium-shear-rate viscosity in interior/exterior flat latex paints. ACRYSOL™ TT-935 Rheology Modifier can be used as either a primary or co-thickener in water-based coatings. It offers excellent resistance to roller spattering with better film build and leveling than conventional thickeners. Paints formulated with ACRYSOL™ TT-935 Rheology Modifier as a sole thickener exhibit improved flow and leveling compared with medium- to high-molecular-weight cellulosic thickeners. The rheology can be modified to further improve flow and leveling by addition of low levels of surfactant or glycol-ether-type co-solvents to reduce the low-shear viscosity. Addition of some pre-dispersed colorant may also have this effect. ACRYSOL™ TT-935 Rheology Modifier is recommended for interior paints requiring improved flow and leveling and lower raw material cost compared to cellulosic thickeners. Where superior water resistance is required, we recommend ACRYSOL™ SCT-275 Rheology Modifier. ACRYSOL™ TT-935 can be used in exterior paints, but formulators should exercise caution to minimize potential blistering due to the anionic nature of this product. Delivered as a low-viscosity liquid, it is very easy to handle and incorporate into paint. It is resistant to microbiological degradation, thereby avoiding viscosity loss in paint, a common problem for manufacturers.

ACRYSOL™ SCT-275 Rheology Modifier is recommended for use in flat to semigloss paints and primers for both exterior paints and premium interior paints.It is especially suited to replace or be blended with conventional cellulosic thickeners where improved flow and leveling, increased hiding, and spatter resistance is desired. ACRYSOL™ SCT-275 Rheology Modifier is particularly suited for low solids, vinyl acrylic formulations where it yields excellent flow/sag balance, color acceptance, and syneresis resistance.
