HECTGEL RD is a synthetic layered silicate consisting of Li, Mg and Si. Its structure is constituted by two layers of Si-O tetrahedron with one layer of Mg-O octahedron. It can hydrate with water and swell to form clear and colorless colloidal dispersions. Highly thixotropic gels can be formed at concentrations of 2% or more and these gels demonstrate highly shear thinning behavior. HECTGEL RD is used where a shear sensitive waterborne gel structure is desired, having high viscosity under low shear and low viscosity when exposed to high shear. Upon removal of shear the gel viscosity is quickly recovered.

EBECRYL® 524 is an acid-modified polyester resin diluted 30% by weight with the reactive diluent 1,6-hexanediol diacrylate (HDDA). It exhibits very low color and moderate acid value. EBECRYL 524 is used as the primary or modifying oligomer in ultraviolet light (UV) or electron beam (EB) curable formulations to increase adhesion to a variety of substrates including paper, plastics and metal. It is particularly useful in UV/EB laminating adhesives.

CYMEL® 1133 Resin is a highly methylated, n-butylated melamine crosslinker with a high degree of alkylation. It has a higher butoxymethyl content and higher monomer content compared to CYMEL® 1130 resin. Its hydrophobic nature combined with very good film appearance properties makes CYMEL® 1133 resin suitable for automotive topcoat applications and general metal finishes requiring improved durability and resistance properties.

VANCRYL® 68 is a solid acrylic resin that provides outstanding pigment wetting along with the viscosity stability needed for aqueous gravure and flexographic inks. The transfer properties and hold-out characteristics of inks prepared with VANCRYL 68 are excellent. In coatings, VANCRYL® 68 provides high gloss, scuff resistance, and hardness. VANCRYL 68 is compatible with most acrylic vehicles and other vehicles such as maleic resins. VANCRYL® 68 is effective as a protective colloid in the production of styrene-acrylic copolymer emulsions.
