- Additin® RC 4803 is a succinic acid derivative with a low acid number dissolved in synthetic ester. Due to its special chemical structure performs already at low dosage rates as a particularly effective anticorrosion additive.Hence Additin® RC 4803 is particularly suitable to formulate products for offshore applications.
- Additin® RC 4803 can be used as a corrosion inhibitor where metal-containing anticorrosion additives are not desirable or the acid number should be as low as possible.
- In mineral oils as little as 0.03% b.w. is necessary to Additin® RC 4803B steel corrosion test. Additin® RC 4803 shows outstanding performance in esters. A dosage rate of 0.05% of Additin® RC 4803 in rape seed oil is enough to pass the ASTM-D 665B test.
