It was developed to improve the defoamer stability performance for formulated synthetic and mineral based lubricants. It is especially recommended for PAO and PIB based synthetic lubricants, as well as the formulations containing these components, where conventional polyacrylate based defoamers do not work or do not work well.

PC-1244™ Defoamer is a solution of organic polymer in a petroleum solvent. It enhances air release properties and prevents foam formation in acidic or neutral organic fluids at temperatures up to 400 °F. It also performs in some alkaline systems. It has demonstrated an ability to retain its defoaming capacity over extended periods of time. It works without materially affecting the surface tension of the media. PC-1244™ Defoamercontains no silicone. PC-1244™ Defoamer applications include usage in gear oils, specialty lubricants, and hydraulic, turbine and transmission oils. Typical use levels range from 20 ppm to 2000 ppm (0.2 %) on active solids.

PC-1844â„¢ Defoamer is a 40 % solution of an acrylic polymer in a petroleum solvent. It provides improved high temperature performance, and improved efficiency. PC-1844â„¢ Defoamer is recommended for high performance usage where PC-1244, PC-1644, or silicone defoamers do not give adequate performance. These usages include gear oils, specialty lubricants, shock absorber, hydraulic, turbine and transmission oils. Typical use levels of the defoamer solutions range from 50 - 500 ppm (20 - 200 ppm active polymer). The optimum level is dependent upon the nature of the oil, and it is therefore necessary to run a concentration profile on each oil. PC-1844â„¢ Defoamer defoamer is most typically employed at 200 - 250 ppm of solution (80 - 100 ppm active polymer). PC-1844 is without addition of silicon.

PC 1644â„¢ Defoamer is a 40 % solution of an acrylic polymer in a petroleum solvent. It was developed to offer improved defoaming performance versus PC- 1244 in non-aqueous organic fluids. PC 1644â„¢ Defoamer is a general purpose defoamer which offers superior foam control at low use levels, generally 10 to 20 % lower use level versus PC-1244. PC 1644â„¢ Defoamer is silicone-free and exhibits very low odor. PC-1644 defoamer applications include usage in gear oils, specialty lubricants, and shock absorber, hydraulic, turbine or transmission oils. Typical use levels of the solutions range from 50 - 500 ppm (20 - 200 ppm active polymer).
