Product Applications
  • Fully synthetic metal working fluids (oil-free)
  • Semi-synthetic metal working fluids (low oil content)
  • Substitution of EP-emulsions by oil-free aqueous EP-solutions
  • Tank-side-addition of metal working solutions
  • Additin® RC 5202 US is a clearly water-soluble EP-additive used for severe metal working operations with fully synthetic fluids (e.g. ironing of tins or fine wire drawing).
  • Typical treatment levels in MWF concentrates are 3 to 15 %.
  • For tank-side addition of metal working solutions 0,2 to 0,5 % are used.
  • For supporting lubricity and AW-performance a combination with Additin RC 5010 (e.g. ratio 1 part RC 5202 and 1 part RC 5010) is recommended.
  • If Additin® RC 5202 US is used as tank-side-additive for metal working solutions, pay attention that lubricity additives (e.g. Additin RC 5010) are already in the solution.

Properties

Physical Form

Solubility Data
  • Additin RC 5202 is generally well soluble in water miscible concentrates with a high water content (> 30 %).
  • However, it is necessary to verify the solubility in the base fluids used and the compatibility with other additives.
  • Used as tank-side additive Additin RC 5202 is soluble by sufficient turbulence of the metal working solution.
  • Additin® RC 5202 US is not soluble in mineral oils and ester oils.
