AQUAPOL® PT-17000-62

AQUAPOL® PT-17000-62 Prepolymer is a toluene diisocyanate-based urethane polymer uti- lized in the manufacturing of hydrophilic foams and coatings. Aquapol® PT-17000-62 pre- polymer has found use in a wide range of applications ranging from medical foams, visco- elastic earplugs, cosmetic sponge, and specialty coatings and foams. Due to the hydro- philic backbone, this polymer and resultant foams and coatings absorb and retain a large quantity of liquid (water and alcohol).

Safety & Health

Safety Information
  • Polyurethane products manufactured or produced from this liquid system may represent a serious fire hazard if improperly used or allowed to remain exposed or unprotected.
  • The character and magnitude of any such hazard will depend upon a broad range of factors which are controlled and influenced by the manufacturing and production process, by the mode of application or installllllllllllation, and by the function and usage of the particular product.
  • Any flammability rating contained in this literature is not intended to reflect hazards presented by this or any other material under actual fire conditions.
  • These ratings are used solely to measure and describe the products response to heat and flame under controlled laboratory conditions.
