Features & Benefits

Materials Features
Key Features

CALCIUM STEARATE/ZINC STEARATE 11 BUSA (3640) is produced from very high quality tallow derived fatty acid and metal cation sources for polymer applications requiring a relatively dense and free flowing processing aid that has very good handling and feeding characteristics.

Product Performance
  • The basic nature of CALCIUM STEARATE/ZINC STEARATE 11 BUSA (3640) makes it an effective acid scavenger for polyolefin processing.
  • This blend of calcium and zinc stearates combines the benefits of each metal stearate in terms of catalyst residue neutralization, heat stabilization and color retention of the subject polymer and minimal contribution to film disturbances in polyolefin films.
  • High apparent density and relatively large average particle size helps minimize dust exposure and housekeeping problems in the workplace.
  • The relative free-flowing nature prevents problems with bridging and caking while facilitating use in virtually any type of bulk handling or conveying and automated weighing and metering systems.
