HFGEL 120-B11 is typically used at levels of 0.2% - 2.0% by weight of the system, depending upon the degree of thickening or other properties desired.

- HFGEL 120-B11 is readily dispersible in the pigment grind under high shear in aliphatic or aromatic systems. It does not require heat or a chemical activator to reach the proper level of activation.
- In many formulations HFGEL 120-B11 can be post added under low shear. This is best accomplished at temperatures between 20°C (68°F) and 35°C (95°F).
