  • Hostastat® FE 2 is an antistatic agent based on renewable fatty acids.
  • The antistatic effect is longer lasting compared to Hostastat® FE 1 but time to build up the effect is a bit longer.
  • In combination with Hostastat® FA 14 it shows a well balanced performance in terms of time to get the antistatic effect and durability of the effect.

Product Applications
  • Hostastat® FE 2 is a highly effective internal antistatic agent for polyolefins especially polypropylene that rapidly develops its antistatic effect.
  • It is added to equalise and reduce static charges on polymers surfaces preventing undesired or hazardous effects caused by dust attraction, spark discharge, ink misting.
  • Hostastat® FE 2 can be combined with long lasting ethoxylated amines (e.g. Hostastat® FA 14 or Hostastat® FA 68) in order to combine its rapidly generated effect with a long term performance of an amine.
  • During processing of filled or reinforced PP, Hostastat® FE 2 acts as a flow promoter.
