Features
  • Excellent barrier to fatty acids, mineral oil, and plasticizers.
  • Excellent hot block resistance with heat sealability and a low coefficient of friction.
  • Excellent repulpability
  • Good barrier to oil, grease, and water.
  • Good stability when blended with inorganic pigments such as clay
  • Good stability when blended with water soluble polymers such as PVOH or rheology modifiers.
  • RHOBARR™ 214 is an acrylic copolymer latex.
  • RHOBARR™ 214 is designed for use in paper and board coatings offering fatty acid and/or mineral oil barrier properties or heat sealability as well as plasticizer resistance for thermal paper applications.
  • It has been developed to be applied by most common aqueous coating or printing methods.
  • Good performance can be achieved by using binder-rich coating formulations in applications where fatty acid, mineral oil, or plasticizer resistance and/or heat sealability is important.
