CYMEL® 1172 resin is an unalkylated glycoluril crosslinker supplied in water at 45% solids. It is designed to be used for crosslinking aqueous neutral or acidic hydroxyl or amide functional polymers and combines excellent stability at acidic pH (as low as 4) with excellent reactivity. CYMEL® 1172 resin cannot be used in amine neutralized or basic coating systems because of the potential problems of demethylolation of the compound and a significant decrease in cure response.

This technology, developed and patented by Chemtura, is characterized by exceptional mechanical stability, high dropping point, high load carrying performance, reduced wear, and excellent resistance to water and corrosion. This technology equals and in many ways outperforms other premium, high temperature greases such as Lithium Complex, Aluminum Complex and Polyurea.

Staybelite® Resin is gum rosin that has been partially hydrogenated via a catalytic process. It is a pale, thermoplastic, acidic resin, Hydrogenation makes this resin highly resistant to oxidation and discoloration and to changes in solubility characteristics, when it is exposed to air and heat.
