- SPHERILEX® DP-0117 is available with different particle sizes, but all grades are based on a new patented synthesisprocess that directly controls particle morphology during the precipitation step. As a result, thisnew range of silica productsprovides a unique balance of performance benefits.
- SPHERILEX® DP-0117 represents the largest particle size within the SPHERILEX® family of silicas. It provides a significant matting effect in all coatings and isparticularly useful in powder coatings where it provides both matting and improvements to the coating'sdurability.SPHERILEX® DP-0117 also providesexcellent wet scrub, burnish, scuff, stain, and mar resistance in flat (matte) architectural coatings and thicker film liquid coatings containing higher loadingsof other fillers.
- Product Benefits
- Effective matting agent for powder coatings.
- Increased impact resistance.
- Excellent washability and scrub resistance.
- Excellent mar and burnish resistance.
- Low viscosity at high loading levels.
- Very low water/solvent demand in the grind process.
- Very low binder demand.
