Processing Information

Dissolving
Synthomer ADS H206 is soluble in many organic solvents such as esters, ketones, aromatic hydrocarbons including styrene and lower alcohols. A more
detailed list is available on the datasheet Solvent Solubility and Plasticiser Compatibility, Synthomer ADS H206 should be added carefully to the solvent system under sufficient agitation to ensure dispersion of the polymer beads.
Melt
Synthomer ADS H206 is thermoplastic and will gradually soften and flow with increasing temperature. Heat activated coatings and adhesives can also be easily formulated.
Compatibility
Synchomer ADS H206 is compatible with other M Grade polymers, and can be mixed in any proportion to modify either solution or dry film properties. Synthomer ADS H206 can be plasticised with many types of plasticiser to modify film properties.

Storage & Handling

Storage and Shelf Life Conditions
  • Synthomer ADS H206 is very thermoplastic and will gradually soften with increasing temperature. The product should therefore be stored in a cool, dry location, ideally be- low +15°C (+59°F). Pallets should not be stacked. Further information is available on the data- sheet Storage of Solid Products.
  • Synthomer M solid products should remain fit for use for many years, provided they are stored as recommended. However it is good practice to test material which has been stored for some time. We therefore advise testing before use, if the material has been stored for 12 months or more.
