ZINC OXIDE GRADE 104 is a brilliant white powder manufactured by the French (Indirect) Process. Grade 104 is our popular medium particle size zinc oxide offering high assay and very low impurities. Grade 104 is approved for pharmaceutical drug use as an excipient, is USFDA approved as GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe) at 21cfr182.8991 and is authorized by the USFDA for use wherever GRAS is approved including food contact in rubber, plastics, and coatings. Grade 104 also meets the requirements of ASTM specification D79, 2002/95/EC Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive (RoHS) for heavy metals and Waste Electrical and Electronic Directive (WEEE), and other regulations where high quality zinc oxide is required.This product is also available in pelleted form (grade 104P), and with around up to 0.1% processing aid/surface treatment (grade 104T) for some rubber mixers.

D.E.R.® 6510-HT solid epoxy resin is a 2-functional epoxy resin which has been chemically modified to allow fusion bonded powder coating formulations to withstand operating temperatures up to 160 °C. D.E.R.® 6510-HT solid epoxy resin enables fusion bonded binder systems to achieve an optimized balance of properties using commonly available, commercial crosslinkers and normal processing conditions. D.E.R.® 6510-HTsolid epoxy resin can be used in combination with standard and modified bisphenol A and novolac epoxy resins. This will help formulators to develop a powder coating system with the right balance of thermal and mechanical properties while still providing good corrosion resistance and chemical resistance.

Dynasylan® MTES, an alkyltrialkoxysilane is an important component in solÂgel systems. Dynasylan® MTES is a colorless, lowÂviscosity liquid. Use requires acid or alkaliÂcatalysed hydrolysis. Dynasylan® MTES is regarded as trifunctional since all three alkoxy groups are able to participate in this reaction. Additionally Dynasylan® MTES contains a methyl group that adds organic character to the products. Hydrolysis leads to silanol groups which, in a subsequent condensation reaction, form very stable siloxane bonds (ÂSiÂOÂSiÂ). Condensation occurs parallel to hydrolysis once a certain amount of silanol groups have been formed. The absolute and relative rates of hydrolysis and condensation depends on a number of factors. The most important factors include pH, concentration, solvent, temperature and the catalyst.
