D.E.R.® 642U Solid Epoxy Resin is a novolac modified, medium molecular weight, solid reaction product of epichlorohydrin and bisphenol A. D.E.R.® 642U-20 Solid Epoxy Resin is a novolac modified resin and has an average functionality of approximately 2.6. It is designed for powder coating applications. The resin is mainly used in industrial powder coatings in combination with D.E.R.® 663U Resin, D.E.R.® 664UE Resin or D.E.R.® 667E Resin cured with a phenolic hardener such as D.E.H.® 80 Curing Agent. Such formulations provide excellent corrosion and chemical resistance combined with good mechanical properties. Typical applications include pipe coatings and internal drum linings.
