CYMEL® 350
Principal:
allnex Crosslinkers
Functions:
Binder & Resin, Crosslinking Agent
Chemical Family:
Melamine Formaldehydes (MF)
Compatible Polymers & Resins:
Acrylics, Alkyds, Epoxies (EP), Polyesters
End Uses:
Solventless & High Solids Coating, Surface Coating, Waterborne Coating
Features:
Excellent Flow, Excellent Stability, Good Leveling, High Solid Content, Improved Film Hardness, Improved Flexibility, Improved Solvent Pop Resistance, Water Soluble
CYMEL® 350 Resin is a highly methylated, monomeric melamine resin recommended for use in both waterborne and solvent-borne systems. It has very good water solubility properties, which makes it easy to incorporate with excellent stability in emulsion systems, as it remains in the water phase and does not migrate to the polymer phase. Like CYMEL® 350 Resin, it is a very efficient crosslinking agent and is recommended for coil coatings and high solids systems. CYMEL® 350 Resin has a slightly slower cure response than other monomeric methylated melamine resins. This provides excellent flow and levelling characteristics and less solvent popping on cure

CYMEL® 370
Principal:
allnex Crosslinkers
Functions:
Crosslinking Agent
Chemical Family:
Chemical Mixtures & Blends
Compatible Polymers & Resins:
Acrylics, Alkyds, Epoxies (EP), Polyesters
End Uses:
Primer, Solventborne Coating, Surface Coating, Waterborne Coating
CYMEL® 370 Resin is a partially methylated melamine crosslinker supplied in iso butanol. Like other high imino resins, CYMEL® 370 Resin is fast reacting and has a high tendency to self-condense resulting in films with high film hardness, gloss, chemical resistance and exterior durability. The high reactivity, combined with high solids content makes CYMEL® 370 Resin suitable for a wide range of solventborne and waterborne industrial bake formulations.

CYMEL® UM-15
Principal:
allnex Crosslinkers
Functions:
Crosslinking Agent
Chemical Family:
Urea Formaldehyde (UF)
Compatible Polymers & Resins:
Acrylics, Alkyds, Cellulose Acetate Butyrate (CAB), Nitrocellulose, Polyesters, Polyvinyl Butyral (PVB)
End Uses:
Foil Coating, Paper Coating, Textile Coating, Waterborne Coating, Wood Coating
CYMEL® UM-15 resin is a highly methylated urea crosslinker supplied as a liquid at >96% solids. Its high solids combined with very fast cure makes CYMEL® UM-15 resin suitable in high solids, low temperature curing systems, like wood and paper coatings. CYMEL® UM-15 is hydrophilic in nature, completely water soluble, and has very good compatibility with water soluble anionic backbone polymers. This makes CYMEL® UM-15 resin suitable for waterborne applications, like paper and wood coatings, where speed of cure is very important.

CYMEL® 301
Principal:
allnex Crosslinkers
Functions:
Crosslinking Agent
Chemical Family:
Melamine Formaldehydes (MF)
Compatible Polymers & Resins:
Acrylics, Alkyds, Epoxies (EP), Polyesters
End Uses:
Can Coating, Coil Coating, Container Coatings, Solventless & High Solids Coating, Surface Coating, Waterborne Coating
CYMEL® 301 Resin is a highly methylated melamine crosslinker supplied at >98% solids. Relative to CYMEL® 303 LF resin, CYMEL® 301 Resin is slightly higher in both monomer content and extent of alkylation resulting in a product with lower viscosity that exhibits fast cure response and imparts excellent flexibility to the film. Its high functionality and low tendency to self-condense makes CYMEL® 301 Resin suitable for a wide range of applications like can, container, automotive and general industrial coatings.

Crosslinking Agent
Chemical Family:
Benzoguanamines
Compatible Polymers & Resins:
Acrylics, Alkyds, Epoxies (EP), Polyesters
End Uses:
Can Coating, Container Coatings, E-Coat & Electrodeposition, Primer, Surface Coating
CYMEL® 1123 Resin is a highly methylated/ethylated benzoguanamine resin developed primarily for use as a crosslinking agent in electrocoating and conventional coatings requiring high detergent and chemical resistance. Its excellent balance between adhesion and film flexibility, especially after several cure cycles, makes CYMEL® 1123 Resin particularly well suited for can coating applications. While CYMEL® 1123 Resin is insoluble in water, it shows excellent compatibility with water soluble backbone polymers and provides very good stability in pH-buffered alkaline waterborne formulations. The poor light resistance properties of benzoguanamine makes CYMEL® 1123 Resin unsuitable for exterior applications.
