    • Water miscible metal working fluids (synthetic and emulsifiable MWF)

Additin® RC 5250 in water-based systems displays multifunctional properties:
EP-performance, lubricity, corrosion inhibition and co-emulsification. Typical treatment levels in MWF concentrates are 2 to 10 %. Additin® RC 5250 is emulsifiable in water by neutralization with inorganic alkalizing agents or alkanolamines. Using tap water with high hardness, a well-balanced combination with Calcium dispersants is necessary. Additin® RC 5250 increases the EP-performance and lubricity during the machining of steel and light metals. A synergistic EP-performance can be achieved in emulsifiable or semi synthetic MWF in combination with Additin® RC 2526 or Additin® RC 2540. Furthermore Additin® RC 5250 is an alternative to tall oil fatty acids.

    Storage & Handling

    Storage Conditions

Store in a dry place at room temperature approx. 24 months. Storage conditions at low temperatures can cause partially cristallisation, which is reversible by stirring and heating up to 50°C. For warming only indirect heating devices are allowed and the temperature of the heat source must not exceed the flash point. Direct contact of product or packaging with heating devices and local overheating over 60°C - even for short time - must be avoided.
