    Application Information
    • Additin® RC 6340 is an ashless additive with multifunctional properties, i.e. it can be used as an EP, antiwear and antioxidant additive.
    • Additin® RC 6340 is ideally suited for formulating heavy metal-free EP greases. Additionally, it can be used as an antiwear/antioxidant component for hydraulic fluids and industrial gear oils. The combination of Additin® RC 6340 with inactive sulfur carriers, e.g. Additin® RC 2410 or zinc dithiophosphates, e.g. Additin® RC 3180 and anticorrosion additives, e.g. Additin® 4220 assists in achieving optimum performance of hydraulic fluids and industrial gear oils as well as EP greases.
    • Additin® RC 6340 is in compliance with § 178.3570 according to U.S. Food and Drug administration regulations (lubricants with incidental food contact). This product is acceptable as a lubricant where there is no possibility of food contact (H2) in and around food processing areas. Such compounds may be used as lubricants, release agents, or antirust films on equipment and machine parts in locations in which there is no possibility of the lubricant or lubricated part contacting edible products.
    • This product is acceptable as an ingredient for use in lubricants with incidental food contact (HX-1) for use in and around food processing areas. The registration of Additin® RC 6340 is for the use as an additive only in lubricants at a level not to exceed 0.5 % percent by weight.
