Additin® RC 8239

Additin® RC 8239 is a single-ingredient benzotriazole-based corrosion inhibitor used in greases, industrial oils, metalworking fluids, and food-grade lubricants. It is also used in industrial additives, specifically in fuels. The product provides effective corrosion inhibition in various lubricating and industrial applications.

  • AdditinⓇ RC 8239 is highly effective to protect copper and its alloys against corrosion.
  • A very thin and stable film is formed on the metal surface by chemi- sorption which protects the metal without staining.
  • The negative influence of dissolved copper ions on the oxidation stability of lubricants and rubber parts is minimized.
  • Compared with solid triazole derivates Additin RC 8239 shows extemely good solubility even in critical base fluids, such as PAO and group 2 types base stocks.
