Method of Use:
- Dilution: BONDERITE S-AD 1246 ACHESON (known as SLA 1246) can be blended with most commercially available oils or greases. BONDERITE S-AD 1246 ACHESON (known as SLA 1246) is completely compatible with most oil additive treatments. In blending operations involving large quantities, the oil should be heated to about 122°F-131°F since blending is more efficient when oil viscosities are reduced. Stir the BONDERITE S-AD 1246 ACHESON (known as SLA 1246) thoroughly to achieve a uniform consistency, then premix equal parts of the product and the oil diluent before blending with the balance of the oil. Maintain continuous agitation by mechanical stirring or dry air blowing throughout the blending operation.
- Application: For best results, use BONDERITE S-AD 1246 ACHESON (known as SLA 1246) at 1% solids by weight in the finished oil, or use approximately 6.7% product by weight of BONDERITE S-AD 1246 ACHESON (known as SLA 1246).
- Companion Product: BONDERITE S-AD 1275 ACHESON (known as SLA 1275), a graphite engine oil additive, is recommended when the use of graphite is preferred over molybdenum disulfide. The same particle fineness and excellent stability is available in SLA 1275 as in BONDERITE S-AD 1246 ACHESON (known as SLA 1246).
