Properties
- Physical Form
- Key Properties
- Due to the high wetting power of EBECRYL® 331, coatings and inks with high gloss and improved color strength can be achieved. It prevents settling of pigments/extenders and offers good leveling.
- EBECRYL® 331 is especially recommended to be used in formulations containing inorganic pigments and/or fillers and extenders. Due to the acidic character of EBECRYL® 331 it is recommended for the use in metallic formulations since it shows very good stabilization of aluminum flakes.
- EBECRYL® 331 should be added in the grinding step. Quantity to be added: 0.5 – 5% on pigment / extender.

Storage & Handling
- Storage Information
- Care should be taken not to expose the product to high temperature conditions, direct sunlight, ignition sources, oxidizing agents, alkalis or acids. This might cause uncontrollable polymerization of the product with the generation of heat. Storage and handling should be in stainless steel, amber glass, amber polyethylene or baked phenolic lined containers. Procedures that remove or displace oxygen from the material should be avoided.
- Do not store this material under an oxygen free atmosphere. Dry air is recommended to displace material removed from the container. Wash thoroughly after handling. Keep container tightly closed. Use with adequate ventilation.
