FH-173

FH-173 is a kind of easily dispersed self-activating organoclay, which is a rheology modifier for esters, ketones, alcohols and ethers and other medium-high polarity solvents, paints and inks containing some aromatic solvents. It can be directly dispersed without an activator in xylene-esters (e.g., butyl acetate), xylene-ketones (e.g., cyclohexanone), and xylene-butanol, etc. in medium-high polarity solvent systems.

Applications
Recommended Levels
  • FH-173 is typically used at levels of 0.2% - 1.5% by weight of the system, depending upon the degree of thickening or other properties desired.
  • Laboratory testing is recommended to determine optimal level.
Incorporation Information
  • FH-173 can be directly added to the grinding process of production processing, and FH-173 is fully dispersed and activated under the shear force of grinding (or stirring) and dispersing pigments.
  • FH-173 can also be added directly to the system through high-speed dispersion, and the dispersing requirements can be achieved without the need for polar activators.
