Hybase® C-500

Hybase® C500 is a 500 TBN oil soluble overbased calcium sulfonate. It provides the highest TBN of calcium carbonate available in a liquid, oil based format. Hybase® C500 is a typically used as a detergent and rust inhibitor in crankcase lubricants. It is designed as a both a stand alone detergent as well as in conjunction with other detergent types, such as calcium phenate.

  • For general purposes, the following storage and handling temperatures are recommended:
  • Storage :60 - 80°C, Handling:80 - 90°C
