HIKOTACK® P-140 is pale yellow thermoplastic resin obtained from polymerizing unsaturated aromatic olefins and diolefins derived from the process of thermal cracking of naphtha. The major usages are vehicles for printing ink. This grade especially shows superior compatibility with rosin modified phenolic resin, so it can be used with phenolic resin in off-set ink to decrease the set time and increase the gloss. PURMOL™ 3ST is a potassium (K) type A zeolite with a pore size of approximately 3 Angstroms (0.32 nm). Purmol 3ST is recommended for use with high quality coatings. In general, we recommend the addition of 2.5% - 5% Purmol powder to the polyol component. This must be stirred thoroughly for a minimum of two hours to allow the Purmol to adsorb all the water before addition of the isocyanate.
