CYCAT® 600A is an organic acid catalyst recommended to accelerate the crosslinking reaction of amino resins with polymers containing hydroxyl, carboxyl, or amide functionality. CYCAT® 600A is soluble in aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, esters, ketones, alcohols, glycol ethers and water. It may be used as a replacement for less soluble acid catalysts, such as para-toluene sulfonic acid, in low alcohol-containing formulations. For formulation of 1K systems, CYCAT® 600A should be blocked with an appropriate amine, such as AMP (2-amino-2-methyl-1-propanol).

D.E.R.® 593 is a brominated epoxy resin supplied in acetone and DOWANOL™ PM Glycol Ether. It is designed for the production of improved FR-4 type rigid boad and multilayer electrical laminates. This brominated epoxy resin is similar to D.E.R.® 592-A80 Epoxy Resin Solution, yet allows for a quicker cure and higher Glass Temperature due to the large amount of catalyst that can be added.
