SURFYNOL® 61 surfactant is a 100% active multifunctional surface active agent. Due to its volatile nature, SURFYNOL® 61 surfactant can evaporate from a system under use conditions and/or heating. Therefore, SURFYNOL® 61 surfactant is useful in applications where residual surface activity or contamination is undesirable, such as silicon wafer and glass cleaning. SURFYNOL® 61 surfactant can provide excellent wetting of polyethylene and polypropylene films. Upon evaporation, little to no surfactant remains to interfere with trapping or cause water sensitivity in printing inks. During the curing of silicones by the silane/alkene addition reaction, SURFYNOL® 61 surfactant can “block” platinum catalysts through complexation; this effect can be used to delay the curing reaction. However, the SURFYNOL® 61 surfactant typically flashes off upon heating to liberate the active catalyst and trigger the reaction.

Dynasylan® AMEO-T is a blend of primary and secondary aminofunctional silanes. The blend contains more than 90 wt% of 3 aminopropyltriethoxysilane. Aminofunctional silanes posses a reactive amino group and a hydrolyzable ethoxysilyl group. The dual nature of this reactivity allows Dynasylan® AMEOT to bind chemically to both inorganic materials (e.g. glass, metals and fillers) and organic polymers (e.g. thermosets, thermoplastics, elastomers) thus functioning as an adhesion promoter, a surface modifier and a reactive reagent. Dynasylan® AMEOT is a yellowish liquid with an aminelike odor. It is soluble in alcohols as well as aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbons.

BONDERITE® S-FN 309 ACHESON (known as EMRALON 309) is a concentrated dispersion of PTFE fluorocarbon resin in an isopropyl alcohol carrier. BONDERITE® S-FN 309 ACHESON is designed to provide a fast-drying, low-friction coating when diluted or compounded as a lubricant.
