Additin® RC 7001 is an aminic antioxidant of high purity and characterized as octylated diphenylamine. Additin® RC 7001 has excellent handling and blending properties. It is supplied in small granules in order to avoid dust problems associated with powders.
Additin® RC 7001 is used to stabilize lubricants against oxidation and sludge formation. (e.g. high temperature lubes like silicones, but also ATF).
    Typical treat rates are 0.5 - 2 %.
Additin® RC 7001 is also applied in greases and shows synergistic effects in combination with Additin® RC 7130 or Additin® RC 7010. In mineral oil based lubricants such as turbine oils Additin® RC 7001 is synergistically active in combination with phenols e.g. Additin® RC 7110 or Additin® RC 7115 and copper inhibitors e.g. Additin® RC 8221 or Additin® RC 8239.
