Product Properties

Epoxy coating systems cured with AP 6004 present the following features.

  • Excellent combination of rapid cure and long pot life at ambient & low temperatures.
  • Light dry and wet color for broad color range and use in tinting systems.
  • Good workability for > 80% solids formulations.
  • Good adhesion to poorly prepared surfaces and difficult substrates.
  • Excellent flexibility and impact resistance.
  • Compatible with most epoxy resins, solvents and their blends.
  • Excellent corrosion resistance and early water resistance.

Storage & Handling

Storage Conditions
  • AP 6004 should be stored in a dry place, preferably in the sealed original container at temperatures 15 to 30°C.
  • The Product should not be stored exposed to direct sunlight.
Handling Information
  • The hardener will absorb moisture and carbon dioxide when left in open containers.
  • This may result in increased viscosity and sometimes crystallization.
  • Use personal protective equipments and follow industrial hygienic procedures.
  • Recommended to use safety glasses, protective clothing, gloves, & masks suitable for chemical, solvents & their vapor.
