Bioban® OP 100E Antimicrobial

Bioban® OP 100E Antimicrobial is a phenolic compound. It is used in a wide range of applications, including ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM), phenol formaldehyde (PF), polypropylenes (PP), and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). It is also used in metalworking fluids and various industrial applications such as casein dispersions, ceramics, concrete admixtures, gaskets, leather, paper & pulp, photographic emulsions, polymer dispersion, slurries, and textiles.

  • Bioban® OP 100E Antimicrobial has a broad spectrum of activity against bacteria and fungi.
  • Before using, Bioban® OP 100E Antimicrobial should be dissolved in either caustic soda solution, glycol, or a glycol/water solution.
  • In an aqueous solution below pH 9, the water solubility of Bioban® OP 100E Antimicrobial may be too low for even distribution of the active into the formulation. The higher the pH of the solution , the lower the release of active ingredient.

Storage Conditions
  • Bioban® OP 100E Antimicrobial should be stored in the original sealed containers.
  • If stored properly, BIOBANTM OP 100 E Antimicrobial has a shelf life of at least 24 months.
  • If exposed to air, product may color slightly. The color change will not affect the efficacy of the biocide. After prolonged storage time, darkening of the product may be observed. The darkening of the product does not affect the microbiological efficacy.
