Method of Use:
Dilution
- BONDERITE® L-GP M 208 ACHESON can be blended with most petroleum oils or lubricating greases. Gentle heating to approx. 100 – 120°F can facilitate easier handling of BONDERITE® L-GP M 208 ACHESON. When blending with petroleum oils, uniform results can be obtained by heating the oil to approximately 660°C (150°F) since mixing is more efficient at reduced viscosity.
- Mix BONDERITE® L-GP M 208 ACHESON thoroughly to assure uniform consistency before blending. When blending with lubricating greases, BONDERITE® L-GP M 208 ACHESON can be added wherever it is most convenient in the processing; either during, or after, the manufacture of the grease.
- It is not necessary to heat the additive prior to blending. Continuous mixing should be maintained during the entire blending operation.
Companion Product:
- For the ultimate in performance and suspension characteristics when considering the addition of molybdenum disulfide to high quality light and medium weight oils, BONDERITE® L-GP M 200 ACHESON (known as MOLYDAG 200) or BONDERITE® S-AD 1286 ACHESON (known as SLA 1286) are recommended.
- BONDERITE® L-GP 170 ACHESON (known as DAG 170), a graphite dispersion, is recommended when the use of graphite is preferred over molybdenum disulfide. Similar particle size and performance characteristics are available in BONDERITE® L-GP 170 ACHESON (known as DAG 170) as in BONDERITE® L-GP M 208 ACHESON.
