Final Testing Requirements Notes for Melt Viscosity
  • ¹-Melt Viscosity at 150°C as Determined on a Representative Sample. Crushed into Powder Form:
  • (a) Weigh a 12.15 g sample into a Cannon-Fenske viscometer tube which is sized to allow a minimum flow time of 200 sec through the tube.
  • (b) Insert the viscometer with the powdered sample in a constant temperature bath set for one 1 hour at 150°C.
  • (c) After the sample has become molten and devolatilized, measure the viscosity.
