Product Benefits
  • WANNATE® HT-400 can be used as a reactive thinner or a hardener component for lightfast two-component polyurethane coatings and as a binder for moisture-curing one-component polyurethane coatings.
  • In two-component polyurethane system, WANNATE® HT-400 are widely used combining WANNATE® HT-100, HT-600, and IT-170B. The ideal reactant is Hydroxy polyacrylate. In one-component polyurethane system, WANNATETM HT-400 can be used as single binder or other polyisocyanate mixture.
  • On account of its low viscosity, WANNATE® HT-400 can
  • also be used as the hardener for aqueous two-component polyurethane coating.

Applications & Uses

Properties

Physical Form
Solubility Data
  • WANNATE® HT-400 can be thinned with esters, ketones and aromatic hydrocarbons such as ethyl acetate, butyl acetate, methoxypropylacetate, acetone, methyl ethyl ketone, methyl isobutyl ketone, cyclohexanone, toluene, xylene, solvent naphtha 100 and mixtures thereof.
  • Generally speaking, it has good compatibility with the solvents listed.
  • However, the solutions formed must be tested for their storage stability.
  • Only PU grade solvents should be used (max. 0.05% water content, absence of reactive groups such as hydroxyl or amino groups). Aliphatic hydrocarbons are unsuitable as solvents.

Storage & Handling

Storage and Shelf Life Conditions
  • Storage in cool, dry, well-ventilated area. Storage in original container.
  • Recommended storage temperature is 0~30°C . Protect from moisture, heat and foreign material. WANNATE® HT-400 is sensitive to moisture. Storage in higher
  • temperatures (≥30°C ) may result in increasing of color and viscosity.
  • WANNATE® HT-400 is sensitive to moisture and must be stored in tightly sealed container. It can be stored for at least 6 months at temperatures between 0 and 30 °C.
